Human Rights and COVID-19 Response and Recovery
23 April 2020
The report addresses why human rights are important to the COVID-19 response and argues that our shared human condition and values must be a source of unity, not division. Recognizing the disproportionate effects of COVID-19 on certain communities, the rise of hate speech, the targeting of vulnerable groups, and the risks of heavy-handed security responses for instance, the report suggests a human rights approach to COVID-19 response and recovery to ensure that no one is left behind.
