Our Work on the Sustainable Development Goals in Ghana

How the UN is supporting The Sustainable Development Goals in Ghana

The UN and its partners in Ghana are working towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): 17 interconnected and ambitious Goals which address the major development challenges faced by people in Ghana and around the world. At the core of this engagement lies the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (2023-2025), the most important instrument for planning and implementation of UN development activities at country level. Built upon three foundational pillars - inclusive economic transformation, equitable access to social services, and sustainable peace and security - this framework outlines the UN's integrated contributions towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It underscores a resolute commitment to inclusivity, human rights, gender equality, resilience, sustainability, and enhanced accountability. In Ghana, our collective endeavor towards the SDGs epitomizes the UN's steadfast support for the country’s journey towards self-reliance.
