The “For Better Business Together” programme (4BBT) will strengthen the sustainability and resilience of businesses in Ghana for a better future.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused global economic disruptions impacting businesses in countries all over the world.
A COVID-19 Business Tracker survey conducted by the Ghana Statistical Service, in collaboration with UNDP and the World Bank shows that the pandemic has had considerable impacts on Ghanaian firms. The survey, conducted between May 26 and June 17, 2020, among 4311 business establishments and household firms, indicated business closures, reduced wages and loss of jobs and the difficulties many business had to go through without any form of assistance.
In an effort to advance the Sustainable Development Goals and strengthen businesses in Ghana, a new global collaboration is being launch in Accra on October 6, 2020. Dubbed 'For Better Business Together” programme (4BBT), this initiative is expected to strengthen the sustainability and resilience of businesses in Ghana for a better future.
In a joint press release issued by the Ministry of Business Development of Ghana, UNDP, International Chamber of Commerce and Business for Peace Foundation, "the programme launch will announce both global and local initiatives being built to support economic recovery" among others.
