GSS Development Partners Platform Newsletter - April - June 2025
Welcome to the ninth issue of the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) Development Partners Platform Newsletter, covering April–June 2025. This issue highlights the continued commitment of GSS and its development partners to strengthening Ghana’s data ecosystem through inclusive approaches that ensure every individual and community is represented in decision-making processes.
This quarter reflects important progress in advancing data-driven solutions to address complex development challenges. Through collaborative efforts with government institutions, development partners, civil society organizations, and communities, GSS continues to champion the production and use of timely, reliable, and inclusive statistics that leave no one behind.
A key highlight of this issue is Ghana’s bold move to strengthen data systems for addressing Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) through the Make Inclusive Data the Norm initiative. This groundbreaking collaboration demonstrates the power of partnerships in closing critical data gaps, improving visibility for marginalized populations, and supporting evidence-based interventions. The issue also features continued efforts to operationalize Ghana’s Disability Data Collection Framework and strengthen the use of disability-disaggregated data for inclusive policies and programmes.
Beyond inclusive data, this edition showcases progress in strengthening the link between statistics and policymaking, including lessons from international collaboration and capacity-building initiatives designed to enhance the role of evidence in national development.
As Ghana advances toward a more responsive and inclusive statistical system, GSS and its partners remain committed to innovation, collaboration, and ensuring that quality data informs policies that improve lives and support sustainable development.
